The Moments That Matter

Every family has a story like one of these.

01
"The announcement came over the speaker. She smiled and nodded. She had no idea what they said."
Language barriers are invisible until they aren't. In a busy foreign airport, they can feel enormous — and quietly terrifying for someone too proud to admit they're lost.
02
"Terminal 3. Gate change to B42. Transfer bus in 8 minutes. She had 40 minutes to figure it out alone."
Our parents are learning these airports in real time, under pressure, in a language that isn't theirs. We take for granted what we know.
03
"My dad told me he always keeps his head down in foreign airports. Just in case."
No parent should travel with that weight. Knowing a friendly face on the same flight knows their name — that's enough to change everything.
04
"His medication was in his checked bag. The bag didn't arrive. He didn't tell anyone for six hours."
Medical moments abroad are terrifying — not just for the health risk, but the isolation. Not knowing who to call. Not wanting to be a fuss.
05
"I got the call at 2am. She was fine. But for thirty seconds I didn't know that."
You cannot be in two places at once. You have your own life, your city, an ocean away from theirs. But someone on that same flight can be where you can't — a fellow traveller who simply said yes.
How Sahai Works

Neighbour on a plane.
Angel in disguise.

Sahai matches your parent with a fellow Indian traveller on the same flight — someone already going the same way, who simply agrees to keep a friendly eye out.

01
You register the flight
Add your parent's flight details and a short note — their name, language, anything helpful. Sahai quietly looks for other Indian travellers on the same flight who've signed up to help.
02
A fellow traveller says yes
Someone already on that flight — a fellow Indian, heading the same way — sees the request and offers to be a friendly presence. No agency. No stranger. Just community.
03
They travel together
Your parent isn't alone. Someone knows their name, keeps a quiet eye out, helps if needed. After landing, you can thank them with a small gift card — or they can simply wave it off. Either way, kindness was the point.
Who It's For

For families separated
by distance. United
by community.

Sahai is for the Indian diaspora — and for the generous souls already on those flights who'd love to help if only someone asked. Two sides of the same community, finally finding each other.

For Those Who Help

Help because you want to.
Be thanked if you'll let them.

Sahai helpers are simply people — Indian travellers already on the same flight who choose to be a friendly presence for someone who could use one. No training required. No obligation. Just kindness.

After the journey, the family can send a small thank-you — a gift card of their choosing, a digital gesture of gratitude. If the helper prefers to give their time freely, they can opt out. Both are equally welcome. The point was never the reward.

The Helper
"I was already on that flight to Chennai. I just kept an eye out, helped her find the gate, had a chat. She reminded me of my own mum."
Opted out of the gift card. Said the smile was enough.
The Family
"We sent a small gift card — it felt like the least we could do. She sent it back and said just pay it forward."
That's the whole spirit of Sahai.
"Our parents crossed oceans for us. The least we can do is make sure someone looks after them when they cross back."
